Mr. Pauer releases Watermelon

1200x630bb.jpg

Mr. Pauer, one of the most celebrated and danced Latin Electronica acts, released a 3 songs EP titled “Watermelon” available worldwide in all digital platforms. This is a collection of songs in his signature sound of “Electrópico” with a deep approach of synthesizers and bass creating a perfect instrumental experience.

“Watermelon” is the first of a series of fruit EPs that I will be releasing in the following months. These are very special tracks for me since many of them were created before the “Orange” album and have carved my sound to what I am today. My essence as an artist is in the instrumental work where I deeply connect with sounds to tell a story into a deep bass combined with Latin American instrumentation that sympathize with Cumbia, Zouk, Compass and Dancehall.

MR. PAUER RELEASES “ORANGE” HIS LONG-AWAITED SOPHOMORE ALBUM, ON SEPTEMBER 18th

The Latin GRAMMY® nominated artist and producer prepares to take an important step in his career with the release of his second album “Orange”

Miami, FL., September 4th, 2015
Mr. Pauer announces the release date of his highly awaited sophomore album “Orange” for September 18th on all digital platforms. This new LP, from the producer who was nominated for a Latin GRAMMY® in 2011 for his debut album “Soundtrack”, combines artist collaborations from four continents with different cultural and musical backgrounds, singing in four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and Creole. The album was mixed by Mr. Pauer, and mastered by two-time GRAMMY® winner Felipe Tichauer (Ceu, Fela Kuti, Rod Steward, Tom Allen).

“Orange” is the spontaneous exploration of Electrópico™, a genre of music created by Mr. Pauer. Electrópico™ mixes Electronic Dance Music with musical genres originated between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn (Salsa, Zouk, Reggae, Cumbia, Dancehall, Merengue, Kuduro, Bolero, etc.).

"I titled the album “Orange” because it connects deeply with joy, sunshine and the tropics. It is a “Pauerful” color that stimulates creativity, enthusiasm, success and encouragement. The orange is also the fruit that represents Florida, the state where Electrópico™ was born. The physical aspect of the orange represents the union of many wedges coming together to form one fruit; a symbolic representation of the “Pauer” of teamwork in this album",says Mr. Pauer, while he prepares for his promotional tour starting in early September.

With each of the 14 tracks, the album deepens its multicultural roots with collaborations from many different nationalities with the Electrópico™ seal, and expands its reach to an international audience as well as the cultural melting pot of Miami.

by Gina Vergel for Sounds & Colours

Electrópico.

It’s a subgenre coined by Miami’s Mr. Pauer, a Venezuelan native who has been DJing and producing music in the Sunshine State’s ‘magic city’ (Miami) of beautiful people for more than 15 years now.

A musician since the age of 12, Pauer (real name: Toto González) began playing instruments since he was about 10, taking a strong interest in percussion. As a teen, believe it or not, he didn’t want much to do with the typical music (salsa and merengue) found playing in the caribbean city of Puerto la Cruz.
